Jagi Mangat Panda (Born – November 6, 1967) is a Media/Broadcast Entrepreneur who is considered the poster child ^[1] of women entrepreneurship in Odisha. She is the Founder & Managing Director of Odisha’s largest television network Odisha Television Ltd.

Jagi holds the distinction of successfully launching Odisha’s first satellite news channel OTV and is credited in making Odisha Television Limited a market leader with popular and household channels like OTV, Tarang, Tarang Music, Prarthana & Alankar.

Early Life

Jagi completed her Bachelors in Biology and Chemistry from Osmania University (Hyderabad) in 1987-88. Though her parents, Ranadhir Singh & Uma Devi, wanted her to be a doctor, she moved to Mumbai to pursue her career in professional modelling.

During her days at Stanley Junior College, she won the Miss Stanley Contest and subsequently went on to become Miss Andhra Pradesh, which had laid the foundation stone of her modelling career. During this ph
